When?
Every Tuesday at 7:00 pm from Jan. 2nd to March 26th. You must attend 1 of the first 2 weeks to acquire an average score. League Scoring will start on January 16th and run for the next 10 weeks. March 26th will be a fun shoot where there will be games and prizes.
Who is it for?
Anyone who wants to learn how to shoot any type of bow, or anyone looking to improve his or her shooting skills. No previous archery knowledge required, but it would be helpful if you are able to hit a paper plate at 20 yards. You must bring your own equipment. You do not have to be a Columbia Fish & Game Member.
How does it work?
Each shooter will shoot 3 rounds of 15 arrows at a paper target at 20 yards. Each shooter will acquire an average score and try to improve his or her average each week. Teams will be set according to average. (Shooters may request who they would like to shoot with, and all efforts will be made to accommodate these requests.)
Incentives:
50/50 Drawing each week.
For each week of paid attendance, you will receive 1 ticket stub. On the last week of the league, a drawing will be done for the following prizes.
- 1st Prize: $75 Gift Card to Lancaster Archery Supply
- 2nd Prize $50 Gift Card to Lancaster Archery Supply
- 3rd Prize $25 Gift Card to Lancaster Archery Supply
- And many other prizes.
Trophies will be awarded for the following categories
- 1st Place Team (Each team member will get a trophy)
- High Average – Adult
- High Average – Junior
- Most Improved Average – Adult

Hello Ladies of CF&G,
This year we are going to try a monthly Ladies Night on the Range. This will be limited to the pistol range with the possibility of some Trap shooting. The evening will start at 6:30, go till sunset, is open to the public (club membership is not needed) and FREE.

The 22LR fun shoots for 2024 are about to begin. If you want to get some practice in with your 22 rifle, come out and join us.
We will start setting up the range at 5:30 and start shooting at 6:00. We will shoot until dusk. There is no fee for this event. Just bring a 22-caliber rifle and 22 standard velocity ammo to have a great evening shooting reactive targets. If you have any questions please call Ralph Carruthers at 717-285-2559.

End of Winter Woods Walk & Black Powder Shoot, on Sunday, April 7th, 2024. Open to all black powder shooters, beginner or expert. Registration (required) starts at 11:30am and the shoot starts at 12:00pm.
The cost is $8.
50/50 shoot with cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place.
Join us for an afternoon of primitive shooting in a casual atmosphere. Primitive dress is encouraged but not required. Shooting events will include a variety of targets that should challenge the individual as well as entertain, from 30 to 70 yards in distance in a natural woodland setting.
Rules and Regulations
- No Smoking.
- Patched round ball only.
- Open sights only.
- Prime only on the firing line.
- The range officer has final authority in all matters!
- Misfires must be cleared in a designated area after 3 attempts to fire the firearm.
- A whistle indicates to cease all firing on the range.
- No double balling is allowed. This will disqualify your score.
- All ties will be settled by a shoot-off.

This class is intended for all individuals regardless of previous shooting experience. During the course, a team of instructors will teach application of gun safety rules, range protocol, proper handling, loading and unloading procedures, application of pistol shooting fundamentals, stable shooting positions, and live fire.
The course will be held in the clubhouse, while the live fire module will be held on the pistol range (which will be closed during the class). You may bring your own pistol (of any pistol caliber) and ammunition for this class.
